Dr. Rex A. Nash

Executive Chairman & Treasurer

Rex A. Nash, DVM has been a private practitioner since his graduation from The Ohio State University in 1958.  He continues to serve as a clinician and president of his own companion animal practice.  Dr. Nash's emergency practice management experience comes from his 20 years of service as the treasurer and on the board of directors of the Cleveland West Side Veterinary Emergency Group, Inc.  CWSVEG owes a large portion of its success to Dr. Nash's careful and diligent stewardship of its finances.  In 1996, Dr. Nash received the Distinguished Service Award from the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. James E. Thomas

Director of Operations

James Thomas, DVM is a 1978 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia Co0llege of Veterinary Medicine.  In 1981 Jim co-founded the Veterinary Emergency Center, Inc., in Richmond, Virginia.  Dr. Thomas has been the hospital director and a staff veterinarian since the beginning.  Currently two emergency and critical care practices are under Dr. Thomas' management.  He also frequently consults with other practices on critical care management issues.  Dr. Thomas hopes NAVEC will provide the management network and communication to maximize the efficiency of operation and provide the highest quality emergency and critical care possible.

Dr. Jeffrey J. Peacock

2nd Vice-Chairman &
Director of Communications

 

Jeffrey Peacock, DVM brings to NAVEC experienced communication skills.  For the past 20 years, he has been a regular guest on Cleveland television programs promoting veterinary medicine and quality of care for pets.  He is a 1965 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been a companion animal practitioner in both South Bend, Indiana and in Cleveland, Ohio.  He currently is the owner and director of an AAHA companion animal practice in Strongsville, Ohio.  Dr. Peacock is a shareholder in the Cleveland West Side Veterinary Emergency Group, Inc., as well as a member of many veterinary associations, Rotary, Jaycees, and the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Beth Lynch, MS, RD, CVPM

Director of Administration

Ms. Beth Lynch heads our Las Vegas office and is responsible for the efficient operation of day to day activities.  Beth earned a Masters degree in Human Exercise Physiology from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 1995, is a Registered Dietician, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, and completed a 1600-hour post graduate program which included rotations at hospitals in southern Nevada.  Ms. Lynch taught Adult Education at a University level for 15 years and has been employed as a corporate consultant to IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Citibank, the Nevada hotel and resort industry, and others.  She currently serves as the hospital administrator for an AAHA companion animal hospital in Las Vegas.  Her experience in human medicine and adult education has provided a unique platform for the transition into the challenging realm of veterinary medicine and practice management.
